OUR ORGANIZATION

On March 91988, the Directors of The Pennsylvania Liquid Waste Haulers Association (Pa LWHA) voted to change the name of the organization to the Pennsylvania Septage Management Association (PSMA).  PSMA is organized as a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Our membership is comprised of member-companies throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and surrounding states.  PSMA offers two types of membership: Regular membership for those companies actively involved in inspecting, pumping, servicing, installing, etc. setpic systems; and, Associate membership for those companies who do not offer septic system services (e.g., product manufacturers, financial service companies, etc.).

PSMA REGIONS

PSMA is a statewide organization.  But, it is divided geographically into seven regions — the seventh region being dedicated to the state of New Jersey.  Each region runs its own training, social, and networking meetings from time to time.  The regions are based upon the regions established by DEP:

  • Region 1 – Southeast PA
  • Region 2 – Northeast PA
  • Region 3 – Southcentral PA
  • Region 4 – Northcentral PA
  • Region 5 – Southwest PA
  • Region 6 – Northwest PA
  • Region 7 – New Jersey
