This is an optional ADD-ON COURSE to the Annual Conference Registration. You must be registered for the Annual Conference to attend this course.
The PA Septage Management Association (PSMA) will be joining with the PA Association of Sewage Enforcement Officers (PASEO) to offer a joint conference & trade show on Feb 2-4, 2025, in Camp Hill, PA (NEW VENUE!).
We have scheduled a variety of optional full-day and half-day training course options on Sunday (Feb 2) and Monday (Feb 3) for those attendees who want a more in-depth education on select topics. These Add-on training courses are at additional cost. Since you must be attending the conference to sign-up for these courses, they have been heavily discounted from their typical price. EFFLUENT PUMP SIZING & SELECTION

Description: Effluent pumps are an essential part of any pressure distribution system. This course will discuss pressure distribution as produced by a mechanical pump. In addition to various pump characteristics, students will learn how to estimate the friction loss in a piping system and how to calculate the size of pump needed for a pressure dosed system. The correct use of pump curves will be covered as well as how to properly calculate the correct volume of a dose.
